Input crash with form open

We are running HB 4.1.0 on the Palm TX. We get a hard crash using some of our databases with a form open when pushing the "input" button. We don't have any other problems with the form or the database setup (the crash only happens with the form open). We also have other databases/forms that do not have this problem. Has anyone else seen this?

Hi there,

Hope you don't mind that I moved your post to the correct topic- since it's Palm OS related, it should not go under general discussion which is for users of all devices.

I'm sorry to hear of the problem you are describing. Can you answer a few questions for me:

- When you mentioned the 'input' button, are you referring to bringing up the Graffiti/text input area? Or is this a button on your form?

- Is there any message displayed when you get the crash, or does it simply reset with no explanation?

- Lastly, does this database/form contain any sensitive information and if not, would you be willing to send it our way? We can try it on a TX and other devices to see if it's a universal problem.

Thanks in advance.

No problem with the move. To answer your questions:

The crash happens when using the input button on the device for bringing up the graffiti/text area.
There is no message, just a device reset with data loss. We are using OnGuard, so we do have backups to the card, but when this happens, we lose data between the last save and the crash.
The database does contain sensitive info, but I may be able to clear this and send you a blank version that still crashes. I will try & do this today, but it may end up taking a few days if I don't have time. Let me know how to get the database and form to you.
