Suggestion: Option to avoid height change in list view

Currently handbase wraps the text in the fields and, by doing so, it changes the height. I would like to be able to change this behaviour, Excel like.
Right now, I have three alternatives if a field has items with some length:
  • See each row with a different height (and worse, not being able to see the full list because of this stretching)
  • Completely hide the field from the view.
  • Increment the width of the field, so hogging screen real state.

As stated, I would like a third option:
  • Disable the word wraping so that I see only the first part of the item and so each row has the same height (and everything fits nicely in the screen).
Thanks for listening.

Hi,

Indeed with the update to the desktop I'm planning the word wrapping will actually have to be fixed height so that should be good for you! I'm sure others will prefer the current way but that one won't be an option any longer..

No problem with that. In general, lists behave well better with fixed height.
Any timing of that new version? (you knew you can't avoid this question when you mention an update :D )

It's unfortunately down several spots on the list behind finishing and releasing forms, and developing cloud syncing so any sort of estimate would be a random guess! I can tell you it won't be here before fall as these projects should eat up my time until at least October before I could even start on the desktop redesign. Realistically it won't be until very late 2013 or into 2014 at best. Sorry that is not sooner!

Ok, no problem. I rather prefer the cloud syncing to be before :)
