Professional or Enterprise Version?

How do I know which version I need to buy? I am a glass artist and I sell my artwork in several galleries and stores so I need to keep track of where my inventory is. I also want to track sales and commissions, etc. so that is why I'm doing it in a database. And I'd like to have this information with me as I travel between venues so I thought the ability to have this info accessible on my phone would be very helpful. I used to use HanDbase on my Palm Pilot years ago and it was great so I think it will be perfect for what I need. The desktop capability will be convenient when designing databases and updating information. I just don't understand the difference between these two versions. And then once I purchase, do they include what I need for the Android or do I purchase that separately? Please help. Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for your post and interest!

The only difference between Enterprise and Professional is the that the Enterprise can sync and convert to other enterprise grade database programs like SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc. If you have no need to connect to any of those existing systems in your setup, then you can safely ignore the Enterprise version!

In the case of Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad versions), the packages are just add-ons, not a complete solution. What that means is that you buy the app itself for your device from the respective app store (Google Play for the case of Android) and then buy the desktop as an add-on to that. The price is discounted accordingly- for example the Professional full package for PalmPilots used to be 39.99 and is now 24.99.

Hope this helps!
