Relationship Error [SOLVED]

Postby msscarlet1957 » Sat May 03, 2014 1:08 am

I have two databases, both very simple. and ONE relationship field between them.
This relationship works FINE on my Android but on the desktop I get an error.
I click on the Relationship button that opens with the "Edit Record" and I get this error:

"Access violation at address 0059923B in module 'handbasedesktop.exe'. Write of address 018002F8"

Please Help

Thanks for posting.

Sorry to read of the issue that you are experiencing with relationships not working properly for you in HanDBase Desktop.

This definitely should not be occurring. I have tried to duplicate the issue on my end but have not been able to at this time, so I am wanting to find out if the problem is specific to your particular setup.

If possible, can you send me a copy of the parent and child databases? If yes, please send them to me at support @ ddhsoftware . com (minus the spaces). Be sure to include a brief reminder of what the issue with the files is when sending!

Hello Brian,
Well it "appears" that it was a computer issue.
I shut down my computer and went to bed...
then next day when I booted it back up and opened the database on my laptop it was working.
There was a "windows update" waiting in the wings and the computer needed rebooted to apply it... so apparently with that going on it messed up the database's ability to work properly.

But know that I appreciate your rapid reply to my post!
