Using the ODBC options I can connect Handbase database to Mircosoft Access and SQL Express. I can connect MS Access to MYSQL using ODBC. However, when I try to upload data from Handbase to MYSQL using ODBC is state transaction completed, but the data does not really update. I have install MYSQL 32 and 64 bit ODBC connector. I am assuming that Handbase is a 32 bit application. Do you have any advice, remedies or recommendation on how to get the applications to communicate with each other?

Secondly, Is there any plans to allow opening Hnadbase mobile in excel form when it select open in other applications.

Thank you,

John M.

Hi John,

Thanks for writing.

Since you are using both Access and MYSQL, I want to clarify for my understanding if you are wanting HanDBase to sync with Access, if you are wanting HanDBase to sync with MYSQL, or both.

Please let me know which you are wanting to do.

Also, I'd like to see copies of the sync exchange configurations you have set up within HanDBase. When you are configuring the sync exchange entry, select the File menu and choose the option to save the configuration to a file. The files will have an extension of .hde.

You should be able to zip these files and attach them to your reply.

Finally, in regards to the mobile version of HanDBase, which handheld platform are you using? I ask because both HanDBase for iPhone and HanDBase for Android already support importing of and exporting to CSV format, which is a great intermediary for Excel.
