Mapping Fields - Synch with Access

Postby fredlef » Mon Feb 01, 2010 10:11 am

Hi Dave,

This seems to say that there should be a way to save mapping settings:

Scenario 4: You have a HanDBase database and a table in MS Access, but the fields in each do not match up exactly
....
# those two fields to each other
# Once finished mapping all of the fields you wish to map, then use OK
# You can leave the other options alone, and use the Save button.
# Use OK twice, and then perform a HotSync

But I don't see a save button option on the mapping screen. Am I just missing it - it would be great if the mapping could be saved so that it doesn't have to be reentered each time?

Thanks,
Fred

Hi Fred,

It's not in the mapping screen itself, but in the main settings for the Sync Exchange. When you save that entry, it saves the file names, db and table names, sync mode and mapping into a file that you can later load on a different machine.

Well that was embarrassingly easy. Thanks,
