Hi,

I've recently purchased HanDBase for my iPad and iPhone. I've also purchased Desktop for my Windows 7 PC.

I can sync between my iPhone and Desktop and my iPad and Desktop OK. My problem is I have a database on my iPad that I'd like to share with my iPhone. On the Sync Settings form for my iPad database in Desktop I selected the share with other users option but I got an error when I sync my iPhone. I then created a new shared database by selecting my iPad database but still get an error when I sync my iPhone.

I've pasted an extract from the error log below.

04-06-2014 14:51: Reading Shared Database Settings for: SyncTest (Shared By: DANs iPad)
04-06-2014 14:51: Database Not Found on the iPhone/iPad
04-06-2014 14:51: Database: DAN Test Sync Mode: Synchronize

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for posting.

In theory you should not be receiving this error. However, since it has cropped up, I'd recommend the following as the first course of action:

1. Make certain each database is installed on the iPad and the iPhone
2. Open HanDBase Desktop
3. Select the menu option Configure/iPhone Users
4. When the sync dialog appears, delete each partnership
5. Close the dialog and HanDBase Desktop
6. Set up a new partnership between HanDBase on the iPhone and HanDBase on the computer, taking care to not use shared syncing right away
7. Repeat step six for your iPad
8. After each device is successfully partnered and syncing, then enable sharing for the databases you want... do this for both the iPhone and iPad

Brian,

Thanks for your help. It's all working now - your Step 1 set me thinking and I found I wasn't installing my database to my iPhone properly.
