Exporting form as a PDF

Postby Mando1493 » Fri May 30, 2014 11:21 am

I am having problems when I export a created form as a PDF.

The PDF is larger and only shows part of the form.

. Also, is there a way to email the form to the customer as it is within the app. I know, if it was correct, I could send the PDF from another app.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for posting.

This can happen when the dimensions of the form are too large. Try tweaking the width and height til you get the desired effect.

Let me know if you run into further problems.

I changed the height and width to the lowest it would let me and no change. The actual form changed where I could not see the bottom of the form. But, the PDF export was still the same...... You did mean to change to dimensions within the basic form settings?

Hi,

Thanks for following up.

Yes, changing the dimensions was what I was referring to.

If possible, please send me a copy of the database and form file to support @ ddhsoftware . com (minus the spaces) so I can look into this further.

Please be sure to include a reminder of the details of this issue when you send the email.

Another related request about exporting forms :-)

At present I can email a form and database, both in pdb format, to myself in order to backup my nice form design (I really like the excellent Forms Designer). Thats OK but tedious.

On the other hand I can Open-In the database data in both pdb and csv formats, which is excellent, but I can't Open-In the Forms pdb. Please could you consider adding that, so that when I select Open-In I get a choice of Data.pdb, Forms.pdb and Data.csv. That would allow me a really simple backup for everything (using FileBrowser or other file manager to save the files locally or remotely) without having to resort to emailing whenever I edit or add a form.

Many thanks.

Regards, Alan.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the great suggestion.

I'm making note of it so we can consider it!
