moving from iPod Touch to iPhone 7

Hi All

I know this question must have been asked and answered dozens of times but I can't find it.

I will be retiring my iPod Touch 5th gen. I have purchased an iPhone 7 running iOS 10.something.

I have HanDBase on my PC and on the iTouch.

I set-up the iphone as 'NEW'.

I will do a final iTouch/Desktop sync.

Then how do I get the DBs onto the iPhone? And how do I get HanDBase to recognize the iPhone as my only / primary handheld device?

I do apologize for asking such a simple question, but I want to make sure that I do everything I should do.

Thanks a whole bunch
Barb

Hi Barb,

Congrats on your new device! What you can do is restore your user to the new device. Here's how:

Install HanDBase to the new device. Don't add any new databases to the device, just leave as is.
Go to the desktop connect/sync option from the choose database screen.
On the desktop go to the sync screen and select the user and choose sync.
Now enter the IP address given by the new device.
I believe it will prompt you whether to restore to it, or it may just do it automatically- been so long I'm not sure!
All of the databases should be restored to the new device and you'll continue under that same user from then on.

Let me know if you run into any problems!
