Unable to set password

Can you suggest how to troubleshoot a database on which I cannot set a password. I have tried both on the iPhone and on the Windows desktop. No error messages or other events but the password does not activate. There is no encryption set at this point, I just wanted a password with full access to the database.

Thanks for writing and sorry for the delayed reply! Could you tell me what happens when you try to set a password? Are you getting some sort of error message, or are you just not seeing the password prompt come up?

If the latter, it may be that you have not set the access permissions to prompt for a password on record open. Each database can have a password set but the permissions have to be enabled/set for any prompts you want to see. Hoping that's all it is- let me know!
