WM6.5 Issues

Postby byPalmHiWM » Mon Apr 26, 2010 8:55 am

Since upgrading my Sprint TouchPro2 to WM6.5 I am unable to enter dates in any date field on any list. When I tap on the date field a calendar pops up which is much too large, I can only see 12 dates to select from. When I select one of these dates there is now way to "OK" the selection.
I am having similar issues in other 3rd party applications. Any ideas/Solutions?
Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for your post- I've taken the liberty of moving this to the proper forum, hope you don't mind!

In fact, within the HanDBase for Windows Mobile forum, your question has been asked a few times before. It's an HTC feature to have that large calendar control and unfortunately it was written without already developed applications in mind. The good news is that at least on some devices there is a fix:

I've received verification from some customers that changing that key and restarting fixed their problem. Let me know if it works for you!

I followed the link for the fix, unfortunately the only thing I have under HKLM/System/GWE/Commctrl is "DragMetrics". the fire recommeded for deletion is not there on my Sprint touch pro 2.

That is unfortunate- sounds like perhaps they are not enabling this control/fix on all their devices. I will look around and see if there is alternate location for this type of control setting.
