Syncing with Windows 10

I was running Windows 8.1 and able to successfully sync between my desktop and a couple of iOS devices (iPad and iPhone6+). When I upgraded to Windows 10 that no longer works. No errors or anything just times out. I have double checked that I entered the correct URL string. Does anyone know what the problem is or have any suggestions as what to look at to help resolve the problem. I am pretty sure it is a Windows problem but any help would be appreciated.

Resolved the problem and thought I would post the solution in case it might help someone. My Desktop is hardwired and on a different subnet from the iOS devices. For Windows 8.1 I had to set a subnet mask of 225.225.0.0 to get everything to work. For Windows 10 I had to change it back to the default of 225.225.225.0 causing the packets to go through the default gateway. Just to clarify I will show my IP addresses. When doing a TRACERT to 192.168.21.173 I was getting a host unreachable message. Seems as if TRACERT is much more useful than PING in resolving network connectivity problems.

Desktop 192.168.23.15 - default gateway 192.168.23.1
iPhone 192.168.21.173
iPad 192.168.1.4

Hi James,

Thanks for posting your findings. They may prove to be useful for anyone with a similar setup.
