Clearing a field in all records

I gather from my searches here and in the User Guide that this is not possible, but I thought I ask anyway. I have a simple database where there is one text field that I want occasionally to clear in all records. Is this possible?

I have the Windows and iPad versions of HanDBase and in both versions you can do the following:
In the title bar of the list view of the database, tap or click on the field name. A menu pops up and one of the selections is "Set value to". Select that and you get a popup that allows you to specify a value to set all records in the database or the filter range to. You can clear the field by not entering a value.

I'm using this to clear check boxes in Packing lists, To Do lists, etc.

Well, I certainly missed that one. Just what I was looking for. Many thanks.
