JavaScript and Reports

It seems that JavaScript is not supported in Generating Reports Via the Desktop but will work when save and viewed as an Htm file.

I'm trying to generate a date and time when I print the report and using JavaScript seems to be the answer. I'm already writing html tables and CSS (we joke I'm learning web design circa 2002). One work around is save it as a pdf. That show the date it was printed and actually gives a page count. But...

One of the goals I have is to have an item count on the report (how many records) where actually printed. JavaScript also might help with this with an internal count but down the line in the future maybe.

Is there any possible updates in the future that will allow your viewer to support JavaScript? You also mentioned an update coming up. Any hints?

At this time we have no plans to implement JavaScript into reporting capabilities. If enough interest exists we will definitely consider it for a future enhancement, though.
