Synchronisation Error

Hi,

Apologies if this synchronisation error has been mentioned elsewhere and a fix provided...

I am trying to work out why I am getting an error when I try to synchronise from the windows based handbase desktop client and my android based handbase.

Desktop Version : 4.7.5
Android Version (on One Plus 5) : 4.6.403

The DBs were not being synchronised, only 1 DB was even recognised for sychronisation.
So I copied all of them to the laptop and and marked them for synchronisation.
Now they are synchronised but this error is concerning as I don't know what it means and whether I can rely on synchronisation happening.

Part of the Log
02-03-2018 14:42: Getting Android Database To Sync with Desktop: 5 Phone Based Tasks...
02-03-2018 14:42: Error: Code 200: HTTP/1.0 200 OK
02-03-2018 14:42: Getting Android Database To Sync with Desktop: 5 Phone Based Tasks...Error:Ó

The laptop has been restarted.
The phone has been restarted.
Neither the desktop or android installs have been uninstalled/installed recently.

Just wondering if there is a reason for this error?

I have the same problem with the OnePlus5T running Android version 8.0.0 (Oxygen 5.0.3). I posted the problem about 2 weeks ago but have not had any positive feedback. DDH support suggested rebooting the router, but that had no beneficial impact for me.

Hi Grumpie and Support,

Sorry I had not seen your reply Grumpie...
I sort of lived with the problem and gave up to a degree - which I am sorry about as I really like the app (been using it ever Palm T3) :-(...

I did see today that there was a post earlier on the forum but while the problem looked the same the cause did not look the same:
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3544
That one was successful in subsequent synchs which did not happen for me.

I have tried creating a new partnership and it is not consistently working, 99% of the time it still produces this error and does not take the latest copy of the db on the phone.
Since reporting the problem I have switched back to using my personal laptop, the problem first occurred on my work laptop and the problem still persists on both laptops.
There is no VPN turned on while I do my synch on my personal or work laptop so everything would be open.
I restarted my router as suggested to Grumpie and it has not made any difference.

One thing that did work once (the 1%) and not subsequently was to force a one way synchronisation.
That is not a workable solution as I won't always know which has the latest version of a db.
Also multiple DBs means that either phone or laptop may have the latest version of individual DBs.
The only workaround is perhaps to compare modified dates on the phone and the laptop of individual DBs but that is not sustainable.

My phone details are pretty similar but not exact to Grumpie's phone but he is on the later phone version of one plus 5T mine is one plus 5.
Android Version 8.0.0
Oxygen 5.04

Brian or anyone else working for DDH, can you please suggest what can be done?

Cheers,
Alex

I am having the same problem. If I set all the databases for the desktop to overwrite the phone all the databases replace the phone files. But when I switch the setting back to synchronize the databases I get the same error message for all the databases. I shut down the anti virus, etc. Same problem.

However if I synch the same desktop files to my ipad all the files synch properly.
