4.7.7 update question

Postby VelvetLounger » Fri Mar 14, 2014 11:13 am

I just downloaded and ran the update for 4.7.7. When I click on Help>About I am informed that I am still runnig 4.7.5. Is this normal?
Using HanDBase since I had my Palm 3.

Are you looking at the installed packages for the version? The package is 4.7.7 and contains various programs all with their own separate version numbers! 4.7.7 should be the version that the package reflects..

It is important to note that the version number for HanDBase Desktop, which is at 4.7.5 I believe, will almost always differ from the package number reflected under the "Installed Packages" section.

It would be very helpful if there were a page on this site that listed the current versions of all of the installed pieces.

Currently, the Android app does not display a version number. I think this should be fixed.

Sure it does, you just have to know where to look :D When you first enter HanDBase, with the list of databases showing, there is an icon in the upper right of the letter 'I' in a circle. Touching that will show a page with the version number. Latest is 4.6.316, which is what the app store says is the latest.

Hope this helps.
