iPad Ad-Hoc Network Not Detected By HanDBase

Postby djoaquin » Tue Sep 16, 2014 1:27 pm

Hello,

I have ready everything I can find regarding using HanDBase iPad Synchronization via an Ad-Hoc wireless network but have been unable to get it to work. I have tried using both Windows XP and Windows 7. I sucessfully connect the iPad via Ad-Hoc, it is assigned an IP (169.254.224.153) and subnet mask (255.255.0.0), yet when I open HanDBase on the iPad and click the synchronization button, I receive the error "Error: To Use this Feature You must Connect to a WiFi Network."

I am able to synchronize over a wireless router but my goal is to synchronize on the road without an access point available.

Any help in solving this issue would be great.

Best regards,
Daniel Joaquin

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for writing.

Have you tested any other apps that allow for syncing / transferring of files? I ask because this will help us to determine where the issue resides - with the initial adhoc connection or with HanDBase's handling of it.

Let us know when you get a chance.
Kind Regards,
