All Available Operators Are Used Up

Postby cenzer » Tue Oct 27, 2015 10:35 am

I get this error message on the Desktop when I try to add to this formula any Operator:

((((F4-F17)/F23)+(F7/F24))*F9

I wan to us the formula:

((((F4-F17)/F23)+(F7/F24))*F9 + P25

Thank you.

Correcting typo in the formula.

I wanted to add to:

((((F4-F17)/F23)+(F7/F24))*F9)

So that new formula would be:

((((F4-F17)/F23)+(F7/F24))*F9) + P25
Thank you.

The easiest way to do it, is to create a new calculation field, take the field with your original calculation and add the P25 to it.

To keep the confusion down, hide the original calculation field and only display the new field.

If you are using that result in another part of the database, using a new field will break it. If that is the case, then move the original calculation to a new field (hidden) and put the +P25 in the old field.
Have a good day

Formulas in HanDBase's calculated fields support up to 6 operands and 5 operators. As Curt mentioned, additional calculations using the results of other calculated fields may be needed when working with a long calculation.
