Modify template

Postby timvsx » Thu Dec 31, 2015 10:48 pm

Happy New Year to all..Hopefully 2016 will be a little more peaceful.

Anybody know why after downloading a Handbase template, doing some
modifications and then trying to backup to myself via email is not allowed.

I get a 'sorry you do not have security access to perform this operation'

Checked security setting under data base properties and nothing to indicate
the DB has been locked.

The applet template is Checkbook(v3.0) and I changed the Db name after modifying..
Running this on iPad iOS 9.2

Any help appreciated.

Thks

I can confirm that this is happening on both my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6+

Both are running iOS 9.2

It is also the only database that shows this behavior. The other databases that come with HanDBase are able to get to email without the error. Checkbook is the only one that has the error
Have a good day

I am not a DDHSoftware employee, just a long time HanDBase user.... from Palm to Windows Mobile to Android, to iOS. Thanks to DDH, the database files transferred to each platform without a problem.

Hi Brian

Any chance you could chime in on my Dec 31 post regarding a security lockout
on checkbook template when down loading the template, modify same then
trying to email to self to install?

If too busy no problem.

Thks

Hi,

Sorry for missing your original post. Please try the following:

1. Open the database
2. Go to Database Properties / Security
3. Tap on Set Access Permissions
4. Scroll all the way down the next popup
5. Change "Share Database" to "Full Access" or "Password Required"

Hope this helps!
Kind Regards,

Hi Brian

Yes the 'not permitted' flag had been checked in the template I downloaded. Changed to 'share'
and everything ok.

Thks and much appreciated.
