HanDBase for iPad v4.9.071 is now available

Hi!

At long last, here's the update for HanDBase for iPad.

Split screen multitasking support.
64 Bit support

Lots of bug fixes and display improvements.

Let me know if you see any issues with it once it updates on your iPad!

Hi Dave, my Bluetooth keyboard is still disabled in the "Mail Record" function. Works with everything else, but just not once the email is generated.

IPad IVth Generation, IOS 9.3 and ClamCase Bluetooth keyboard.

Installed it on my iPad 2 running iOS 9.2.2 yesterday. No problems so far. Good work!

Brian, the only way to type anything in the email (from the export to mail function) is to turn the keyboard off, then use the OS keyboard. Once the email is sent and I turn the keyboard back on, everything works fine (in HanDBase, and every other app, including mail, as long as I don't send an email from the export function). This is reproducible on my iPhone as well, with different Bluetooth keyboards.

Other than that the new version is working great so far.

Different question

Split Screen Support...Is an iPad Pro required for that, or would a standard iPad work? If supported, how is it done as I tried a few different menus and options and I can't seem to get two DBs to appear at the same time.

Full split screen (50%-50%) can only be done on an iPad Air 2 or iPad Pro (A8 processor or better and 2gig RAM)

Slide Over (70%-30%) can only be done on an iPad Air or iPad Mini 2 or better (A7 processor or better and 1gig RAM)

I am not a DDHSoftware employee, just a long time HanDBase user.... from Palm to Windows Mobile to Android, to iOS. Thanks to DDH, the database files transferred to each platform without a problem.

What Curt said! To add to that, you just drag from the right edge of the screen. When you first drag it will go to the 70/30 split and then, if your device supports it, you can continue to drag to the 50/50 split.

Sirs: I just installed this version and the software does NOT WORK.
Abnormally crashes inmediately after the initial logo. My Ios is 6.0.1 and NEVER I have problems with your software. I use this for my small bussines, and the problem that I can't use the data base is big for me. I try to uninstall an reinstall the software and the results are the same: impossible to use.

Before this last version, the program works fine.

Please, tell me how is possible dowmgrading to the prior version.

I cannot ipgrade my IOS to newer version because I have many other applications only works on this IOS version.

The problem, for me is very strong.

Thanks for writing.

We are very sorry to read of the issue you have experienced!

The latest update to HanDBase was set in iTunes to not install on devices running iOS 6, for fear that it would not run properly on the older operating system.

There are two options:

1. If possible, update your iPad to a newer version of iOS. Doing so will mean that HanDBase, and likely many other apps, will be able to install and run properly.

2. If you are not available to update to a newer version of iOS due to the age of your device, hopefully you frequently sync it with iTunes on your computer. If you do, you can find the IPA file for HanDBase and drag it onto the Apps section for your device in iTunes so that the next time you sync HanDBase is reinstalled.

It should be in the path of:

C:\Users\Username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications\

Assuming the older HanDBase IPA file is there, make a backup of it by
copying it to your computer's desktop.

Then fire up iTunes and drag the IPA onto the iTunes library.

Finally, sync. This will reinstall the older version of HanDBase.

Next, it's wise to go about backing up your files:

1. Connect the phone to the computer you use via the USB / lightning cable
2. Wait a moment for iTunes to open
3. Go to the Device section
4. Go to the Apps tab
5. Scroll down to the File Sharing section (in iTunes)
6. You'll see several of the apps on your iPhone, including HanDBase

Once you click on it you will see that you are able to copy the
databases on the phone to the computer so that you have a backup.
