This is a very simple (and simple to use!) HanDBase 3 mileage tracker that I created for my personal use. I’ve been using this for all my vehicles since I first created it in early 2001. This current version has all the latest enhancements I've added since I got my new 2005 Toyota Prius.
You choose the date and your selected gas station (from popups), enter your odometer reading, gallons purchased, and purchase price. The program then calculates for you:
1. the cost per gallon
2. number of miles driven since last fillup
3. miles per gallon
4. cost per mile
5. number of days since last fillup
When you enter your very first record, the “days since last gas” field will probably be incorrect, but once you enter the second record it should correct itself from that point forward.

When a maintenance item has been completed, find the corresponding record in the database, then use "Copy Record to New" to create a new copy and update the "Service Performed" information with the new info. If anyone wants to fix the database so it works in version 3.x please e-mail it to me and I will look at uploading it here.
The Complete Car Maintenance Guide is a collection of four databases all working together so you can keep track of your routine maintenance on your vehicles. As an added bonus there is also a database (included in the four mentioned) that you can keep track of your vehicles mileage. The databases are completely customizable to suit your specific needs.
The unique feature of the Complete Car Maintenance Guide is that you are able to track different vehicles independent from one another. For example, if I perform different maintenance tasks on all of my vehicles regularly, a single database would allow me to list each task separately but I would have to create filters to see a list view of all tasks performed on a specific vehicle. The Complete Car Maintenance Guide automatically creates databases independent of one another so when I want to view everything done on a single car I just have to select that car and the appropriate database. Full details are explained within the User's Manual.
Included in the zip file are four databases (all needed to function properly), a readme file, and a User's Guide in pdf format.

The usual dosages have recently been added. Many new investigational and orphan drugs have also been added to the database. The list is extensive and very much up to date. It includes drugs that are still investigational but likely to be FDA approved in the near future. As this occurs the database is updated. Contact the developer at fhirning@uop.edu..

Applet consists of two databases, Fuel Tracker & Gas Stations (DBPopup). The applet allows the user to record basic information for each fill up including Date of Sale (automatic entry), Sale (cost of fuel), Price/Gallon and current Odometer Reading. The applet then computes and displays Gallons Pumpted, MPG, Miles/Dollar (of fuel), Total Sales to Date, Avg. Sales to Date, Avg. Price/Gallon, Avg. MPG and Avg. Miles/$. The Gas Station database is accessed through a DBPopup field in Fuel Tracker. It contains basic information about the gas station you bought fuel from, including station Name, Location & Phone number. You don't have to enter detail information about your gas stations. Just the name is sufficient. However, this popup database is ideal for distinguishing between franchise stations & is also convenient if you need to call the station. To begin using Fuel Tracker, fill up your tank & create a record containing only your current odometer reading. The next time you fill up your tank, you will enter the Station, Sale, Price/Gallon & your current Odometer reading, and the applet computes & displays the statistical data when you open the saved record for display. Fuel Tracker always highlights the last record saved as a convenience. Aside from tracking useful statistics about your car's fuel performance, you can also use it to track where fuel you purchased was the cheapest.

This is a database demonstrating how you can calculate the elapsed time between a start and end time that could possibly span multiple days. Here's the explanation:
Field 1: Start Date
Field 2: Start Time
Field 3: End Date
Field 4: End Time
Field 5: Days elapsed (Calc, output as Integer) = End Date - Start Date ---> Here we are subtracting to see how many days have passed
Field 6: Seconds for Days (calc, output as integer) = (Field 5 - 1 )* 86400 ---> Here we are converting the above to seconds so it can be used with the time. Subtracting one since if the difference between a time one day and a time the next day is not 24 hours + the time, but just the time differences accounted for below. (Make sure to use parenthesis when setting up the formula.
Field 7: Time to End 1st (calc, output as integer) 86400 - Start Time --> This is the number of hours from the start time to the end of that first day.
Field 8: Total Elapsed Time (calc, output as time) Field 6 + Field 7 + Field 4 --> The trickiest part to understand here. This is adding the time until the end of the first day (field 7) plus the elapsed seconds for the days that spanned between them (field 6) plus the number of seconds into the last day (the end time, field 4).
Field 9: In Hours (calc, output to 4 decimal places) Field 8 / 3600 --> The above was shown as a time which may be confusing when it's more than 24 hours, so this one calculates the total number of hours elapsed for billing type purposes.

This is a simple database designed to show you how to create a unique key field in HanDBase. One that can be seen and displayed in the database. This involves using the following:
Link field- set to hidden and does not need to be set up to point to any other database.
Conditional field- this is your unique Key and the formula is this: If Link field is zero, output is Link field, otherwise, output is Link field.
As you can tell, the Conditional field will always evaluate to be the value of the link field, which is already a unique key, but normally one that is hidden.
This database is designed to track the maintenance of your vehicle(s): to schedule your maintenance (either by date or mileage), remind you of services you might otherwise not think of performing, and track the cost of the services individually and summarily. Users might include do-it-yourselfers as well as those who hire a professional. A must-have for vehicle maintenance is your owner's manual. There is where you find which services need doing when. If you don't have an owner's manual go to any autoparts store and purchase an aftermarket manual like Chilton's or Hanes. Applet updated with new features added, Aug 3, 2001
