HAVE YOU EVER needed to refer back to some small detail of a real estate transaction you listed or sold yourself (or maybe both)? If you are like me, you have an office, a home and a vehicle you keep records in and the ONE you need is often not accessible. Well, this applet may help.
This applet really helps you keep track of all the things you need to do BEFORE and AFTER a closing takes place. RE-CLOSEDATA and its Forms contain the essentials of all your active and completed closings.
In this applet you will find:
The MAIN Form for MLS and essential heading details, closing date, list and selling prices and agents, and their respective companies. There are also 9 Buttons to send you to all kinds of details and dates for:
CONTRACT DETAILS
LOAN DETAILS
INSURANCE DETAILS
INSPECTION DETAILS (Termite, HVAC, Home Inspector, Septic/well, others)
HOME OWNERS ASSOC. COVENENTS/FEES ETC.
UTILITIES AND SECURITY SERVICES
DEED AND SURVEY DETAILS
SIGN ERECTION AND ADVERTISING DETAILS
CLOSING DETAILS
All this in ONE pdb table! You can enter items as they change and occur and then have a compact detailed historical record. Your clients will be startled with your incredible memory!
I created this for my Dell Pocket PC using Handbase 3.51 Feel free to change things around to suit yourself.

Comments:
As stated, this was created for my Pocket PC and the forms look superon that device, but if you are going to run this on the desktop, forms look a bit goofy.
MAC Users will need to enter the filename closingsummaries.zip when saving this file.

04/01/2006 R/E EXPENSES [Real Estate] This is a very simple expense recording database for real estate sales people. It allows for entry of a dollar amount and check boxes for the type of expense. Sales commissions paid may also be recorded by making a (-)amount entry (Of course, you can choose to enter ordinary expenses as minuses).
You may also keep miles driven and to-from locations as well as a note field for recording the purpose expense, or whatever you like. This can help at the end of the year to summarize business costs.
Check boxes with abbreviated label include:
meals (you can simply enter the client's part and put purpose in the comments field if you so choose)
office supplies
licensing fees
agency/board/MLS fees
r/e cell phone charges
advertising
computer-related (PCs, software, handhelds, etc)
auto repairs
auto washing
education
closing gifts
and ***COMMISSIONS***.
It is up to the user to create his/her own filters and reports; I just export to a spreadsheet.
I created this for my Dell Pocket PC. Feel free to change things around to suit yoursef.
I will not accept responsibity for any mistakes (mine or yours) or misuse under any circumstances. Have fun.
04/11/2006 R/E EXPENSE 2 [Real Estate] This is an expense recording database for real estate sales people which is very similar to, but improved, version of R/E EXPENCE in this Gallery. It is now on two tabs to permit Pocket PC keyboards not to be in the way, too.
In this version, there are
Tabs for EXPENSE Details and NOTES.
The TO-FROM LOCATION entry is now an editable pop-up so you won't have to type so much for up to 60 different frequently traveled destinations(just delete the ones I have and put yours in)

04/14/2006 ARTIST'S EXPENSES [Miscellaneous] This is an expense recording database for visual artists (painters, sculptors, etc). It is on two tabs to allow entry of an expense detail with an accompanying note if needed. This has helped me at the end of the year when compiling Schedule C expenses.
In this applet you will find:
Tabs for EXPENSE Details and NOTES.
The TO-FROM LOCATION entry (in case you are keeping track of those miles)is now an editable pop-up so you won't have to type so much for up to 60 different frequently traveled destinations(just delete the ones I have and put yours in)
Essentially, this allows for entry of the date, a dollar amount, type of payment (cash, credit, etc) and check boxes for the type of expense. A sales income check box is here too (you may wish to enter income as a "minus" amount, or opposite from expenses).
You may also keep miles driven and to-from locations as well as a note field for recording the purpose expense, or whatever you like. This can help at the end of the year to summarize business costs.

Considering you might use this to help put things together for Uncle Sam, I will not accept responsibity for any mistakes (mine or yours) or misuse under any circumstances. Have fun.
