Description:This applet is designed to track the Final Four tournament for 2000, both for personal use or, possibly, in an office pool. It contains two databases - a teams database, NCAATeams, containing all 64 teams (the team's seed is a two digit number tacked on the end of the team name), and a tournament database (MarchMadness). The tournament databases has fields for Region (G), Round (R),team1 (TM1), team2 (TM2), Pick (Pick), a checkbox for whether your pick was correct (W), a two-digit field for the day of the month (Da), a four-digit field for the time (Time), and a points field for the number of points won for that game in that round (Pt).
Has Data:Yes
Has Forms:No
Filters:Could filter according to region, round, date, win, or points.
Sorting:Could sort on region, round, date, time, win.
Reports:Could sum points for games won.
Comments:I would like to add complete pool functionality to this. As is, the tournament database contains 32 entries - one for each game in the first round. Picks, obviously, have been left blank. Feel free to copy records for the succeeding rounds. Right now, you could copy the tournament's template to other databases, named for each member in a pool, and then copy the records to it, and fill in each player's picks. I just would like to have a neat and clean way to tally up ALL players scores at any given time, and display it. I'll keep working on it, and keep you all posted. In the meantime, I hope you find this useful, but more importantly, enjoyable.
