Description:Some standard lipid profiles do not include LDL measurement - it has to be ordered separately. You can still estimate LDL level using this little applet and save your patient a buck or two : ) Known limitations: The Friedewald equation uses TG level to estimate VLDL and is not accurate for TG levels of 400 mg/dL and above. I tested it on a PocketPC and it worked fine - let me know if there is any problem with Palm OS based machines. Your comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
