For Palm OS handheld devices on a Windows PC
If you have a Palm OS handheld, you can open Sync Exchange from the HanDBase 4 Conduit.
There are a few ways to open the HanDBase 4 Conduit, but the easiest way is to use the Palm Desktop software:
Open the Palm Desktop software
With the Palm Desktop software open, use the HotSync menu to open the Custom setting
Find HanDBase 4 in the list of conduits
Highlight HanDBase 4, then use the Change button.
If you have Sync Exchange installed, you should see a Sync Exchange button on the right side of the window. Use the Sync Exchange button to open Sync Exchange
For Windows Mobile devices
If you have a a Windows Mobile Classic, Standard or Professional device, you can open Sync Exchange from the Start Menu on your desktop PC:
Using the Start Menu, go to Start - Programs - HanDBase 4
Select Windows Mobile
Select Conduit Options
If you have Sync Exchange installed, you should see a Sync Exchange button on the right side of the window. Use the Sync Exchange button to open Sync Exchange
For BlackBerry devices
BlackBerry users can easily access the Sync Exchange settings through the HanDBase Desktop:
Open the HanDBase Desktop
From the Configure Menu choose BlackBerry Users
On the Manage BlackBerry Users window, the Conduit, click the Edit Sync Settings button.
For a database that is already on your device and syncing and which exists in the list highlight that database and then uncheck the Use Default settings for this database checkbox in the right hand side.
If you want to add a new database, one that is not already syncing, first add it by clicking the Create New Shared Database button. Once it's showing in the list highlight that database and uncheck the Use Default settings for this database checkbox in the right hand side, if checked.
Once the Default Settings checkbox is unchecked you'll see an option at the bottom of the right hand side for Synchronize with Access/ODBC database. Check that box.
Click the Settings button to launch Sync Exchange.
For iPhone and iPod touch devices
BlackBerry users can easily access the Sync Exchange settings through the HanDBase Desktop:
Open the HanDBase Desktop
From the Configure Menu choose iPhone/iPod touch Users
On the Manage BlackBerry Users window, the Conduit, click the Edit Sync Settings button.
For a database that is already on your device and syncing and which exists in the list highlight that database and then uncheck the Use Default settings for this database checkbox in the right hand side.
