What does a column name mismatch or column type mismatch error in the sync log
Product: General HanDBase TopicArticle Number: 280Creation Date: 01/13/2006

A column name mismatch or column type mismatch error in the sync log means that the fields in the HanDBase database are in a different field order or have different field names than the fields in the Access table or ODBC data source that you have chosen to synchronize that HanDBase database with.

To correct this:

  • Open Sync Exchange
  • Highlight the HanDBase database in question
  • Click "Configure ODBC/Access Sync"
  • Select the option "Merge Mapped Columns" at the bottom of the screen.
  • Then click "Map Columns" so that you can specifically map the particular fields in the Access table or ODBC data source to the appropriate fields in the HanDBase database.
  • Make certain that you match up the fields in HanDBase with the fields in the Access table or ODBC data source that you want to sync with each other.
  • Then save with the Save and OK buttons. If you map the fields, but use the X button to close the windows (or the Esc key on the keyboard), that will not save the column mapping.
