Question: Can HanDBase for Android sync wirelessly to a server?
Product: Article Number: 372Creation Date: 10/14/2010
Answer:
We do offer desktop synchronization conduits for both Windows and Mac computers, but at this time there is not an option to sync directly with a server. Each of the above require a USB connection or memory card slot to occur. When you are away from your computer that means there is no dedicated ability to sync via the conduit wirelessly.

That said, there are still options for sharing a database wirelessly:

1. HanDBase for Android supports emailing databases. To do this, from the Choose Database screen, tap and hold the database you'd like to email and choose email from the popup windows that displays soon after. The person on the receiving end can then save this attachment. If they are using a mobile device such as Android, iPhone, iPad, etc, they can then open this into HanDBase and the changes will merge with any existing database they already have, or create a new one if there wasn't already a copy there. Additionally, desktop users on Windows can use the File, Merge Database feature to merge the emailed database with a desktop stored copy.

2. Dropbox is just one of many popular file sharing apps that you can download for Android. Using Dropbox you can transfer and share databases with several computers and mobile devices.
