"Your assistance was lightening fast in a way I have never experienced by an online software (or any) company before, you were knowledgeable and of course successful in resolving my problem. You really gave me the feeling you were focused in getting the issue sorted and cared about me. Thank you for your efforts, I am a very happy customer!

- Mike Nicholas

Thank you very much for your prompt help and support....The HandBase program is a pleasure to use and I am very impressed with your company's service and support.

Grahame Connolly

I know you hear this a lot..but the responsiveness DDH provides is a real godsend in a world of poor tech support. Since the industry is just now finally starting to differentiate by this (e.g. the recent choice of MS Money over Quicken in a review due to Microsoft's free support versus Intuits new approach to both expensive and invasive support programs). Along with your current lead, aggressive development and cross-platform approach, I expect to see HanDBase continue to be THE relational choice for handhelds--we are currently developing all of our mobile applications based on it.

John Fisher

I'm a Customs Inspector and use HanDBase for lots of work related things. The greatest improvement for me was the introduction of encryption. I also use HDB for collecting passwords to agency LAN's and computer systems but once I got a handle for pop-ups I started using it to collect field interview information. In Customs we write reports every time we do personal searches. I created a database which captures all the information needed to complete a report, including using popups for the coded fields such as search type and enforcement codes. That I can encrypt it means no worrys about losing the device. Then I went to the USDOT website and found databases built around HAZMat information, placard codes etc and converted them to comma delineated files for transfer to HDB. I have downloaded alot of other reference databases, airline ticket codes, airport codes, telephone area codes, etc, all of which are very handy in a handheld device when you are away from the desktops.

Bob Ballentine

It's not often that I feel like writing to thank a company for a software product that I use.  I have had your HanDbase program for nearly two years now, and I am very happy with it.  The effort you put into continued development, especially implementing the beta forms for pocketpc is greatly appreciated.  Through your updates, all the errors I used to experience have been taken care of, and I am very satisfied with your product.  Continue to operate in this way, and you will have a customer for life.

Patrick Morris

Just had to tell you the 2 e-mails in response to my questions WERE THE BEST TECHNICAL SUPPORT RESPONSES I EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you again. I look forward to start writing my High-Risk Obstetrics Patients database.

Henry S. Amdur, MD

I just wanted to thank you for your help. Your response was timely and the best assistance I have ever received from a company.

Robert Gholson

Once again, I get another validation of my decision two years ago to purchase HandBase. Since that time I've used it more and more frequently, even replacing my built-in Address book with a homebuilt HandBase address database. Today, I wanted to create a simple database to track bugs and enhancements in some software my employer is marketing. First, I tried to use Microsoft Excel for this task. After a couple of hours of trying to understand the difference between forms, lists, databases, and how to make them work with Active Controls, macros and the like, I decided that approach was too complicated. Next, I looked at using a web-server-located application like Bugzilla for my needs. After talking to our IT staff, it became apparent that this solution would take one or more weeks to implement. Third alternative was to try Microsoft Access. I was quickly able to create one table, even importing information from my aborted Excel spreadsheets. However, when I tried to link together data from 3 different tables, Access began to complain about duplicate field names, wouldn't let me establish the relationships I wanted, and quickly led me to give up on that idea. Finally, it occurred to me to try HandBase. After all, it seems simple to use on my Palm. Why not use the HandBase Desktop to create the database I need? I'll then share it with those that need it by beaming, or e-mailing, and they can easily import results into their own spreadsheet or database program if they don't have a Palm (or Pocket PC). Well, within an hour I had built my database, importing one of my aborted Excel spreadsheets as a template. I entered a couple of records, made some fine-tuning of the structure, and by day's end I have a concept to present to my business partners. Thanks for building a great program!

Stewart Midwinter

I was starting to think that there is no great database program out there until I downloaded HanDBase. This program works on common sense. It is intuitive to use, logical, easy to manage and stable. You can install the program and jump right into creating a database, entering information and using it instead of spending time trying to work around bugs, system crashes and other problems. This program makes sense, is simple and yet very powerful. What a pleasure, I wish that it was the first program I tried instead of the fourth. The windows companion is also a nice extra. Great job HanDBase!!!!

John Marino

Let me congratulate you on a superb product in HanDBase. I didn't need 30 days, just under 30 minutes, to know I had something special. From woodturning tools and project lists, my DVD collection, my book collection, my photography to creative writting and the mass of info assocated with computer engineering, I'm finding HanDBase an invaluable tool.

John Geelan

"I've used the HanDBase Plus for months without any difficulty whatsoever. The documentation is user-friendly, and the company is very supportive. The applets (applications) are easy to create without programming skills or extensive computer expertise. As a high school administrator, I use a wide variety of applications, some linked with multiple applets. I consider this the best database application for the Palm. It quadrupled the value of my Palm immediately, as far as productivity goes!"

Jerry Backof

I have to tell you folks.... it takes an awful lot to impress me, and this impressed me. I went to beam a database to a friend the other day, I have version 1.1.... she laughed at me! I decided to update, and had no idea of my password... it took me about 8 seconds to get it from your site. Not only is HanDbase wonderful, your customer service is too. Nicely done...

Amy Detjen

Just bought a clie the other day to keep track of income and expenses while on the road. I was going to toss the thing until I found your program. It' really quite good! And as far as I'm concerned the only application I've seen that does something for these little pda's. So I pretty sure I'll be keeping it (Clie) thanks to your efforts. Frankly I have no time at all to sit behind a desk anymore and this little gem of yours is like the answer to my time management problems. Very well done--Perfect! Thank you

Howard Clark

Great Forms-based data entry tool. This program was exactly what I needed. In 10 minutes I had designed three databases with forms to capture dietary information, meeting notes and sketches. Rating: 5 out of 5

R.Trude

I have used HanDBase for more than a year without a single problem. The software is capable of more functionality than any other palm database; I have tried the three most popular. The filtering is super. The manual is very complete. The NEW (just last week) desktop is fantastic. Tech support is same day service. The webe site has more application then anyone else, and they are free. Most recently I tried “ThinkDB”. The forms interface is really neat and visually appealing but also limiting. I had problems with “corrupted” files almost immediately and was lucky I had made back-up files. Then the back-up files became corrupted. When I tried to use the ThinkDB desktop it could not read the files. I emailed the damaged files to Thinkingbytes last week, no answer yet. I was in luck the HanDBase desktop will read the files and allow editing. I’ll stick to the clear winner HanDBase.

Dennis Phillips

As a standalone application HanDBase is brilliant.

Andy Swarbrick

I got a copy of the eval version and had set up several linked db's without ever reading a lick of the documentation. Then I knew I had to have the 'real deal.' I just got the registered version and tried out the Desktop to produce reports for my boss. Let me just say this: Pretty slick!

Steve Powell (EDS)

The site is clean, simple, very easy to navigate and understand. I have been using HanDBase since February of this year and I think the new web site does a great job of presenting the power and functionality of HandDBase as well as your other software products. Thanks for making a great product even better.

John Jones

I love your software! I work in a hospital laboratory and one of my jobs (in between saving lives, haha) is ordering of our major chemistry test supplies. The list of supplies is long and sometimes it is hard to remember which ones I need to calibrate and which ones I need to order or which ones I have already ordered and which ones are expiring....etc. With this software I am the envy of the lab because I am able to breeze through my inventory and determine at a glance what needs to be done next, making me much more efficient. No more large clipboard to tote around... I also set up a personal database of my thyroid results from the past year and the med level at each measurement. It is so cool to see at a glance what is working for me. I can't wait to show it to my doctor so he will see how closely I keep track of my health! The great thing is your software is easy even for those of us with very little knowledge of databases. I was able to set mine up in only 2 days between my patient care duties (approx. 1-2 hours). I didn't need the full 30 days to prove to me this was the software I needed. Thanks for a great product!

Teri Stark

This is a truly wonderful program that every Palm PDA owner should have. Thank you!

Yill-Sung Park, Ph.D.

First of all, my compliments for HanDBase. I realy didn't need the full 30 days to come to the conclusion I just had to have it (the one thing the Palm misses compared to Psion, but you beat Psion!) The on-line registration process was as smoothly as the application. Great.

Patrick van Beem

I am an ardent fan of HanDBase. I have tried many other software products for the Palm Pilot and have found yours to be the best by far. It is stable and very flexible. I have found far more uses for it than I ever imagined.

Bruce Embry

Thank you very much. I am impressed by the program and by the customer service - many could learn.

Gregory R. Nyhus, AAG

I'm Neurosurgeon and I'm using handbase for one year. It's really great. I can have in my pocket all the data of operated patient and I can find every patient's data in a few second. Handbase is a very usefull tool that I use every day and I can not more imagine my work without it today. Thank you for your help !

Dr. MILBOUW G.

Not only a super program but also outstanding support. Many thanks,

Art Freedlender

Let me sincerely congratulate you on a fantastic Palm app! I think this should be a base application included with every Palm. In the meantime I would encourage every owner to purchase a copy of HanDbase.

Dan Torres

If it weren't for your product, I wouldn't be using my Palm. The way I like to organize and schedule didn't fit into the stock Palm applications (ToDo, Planner, etc.) I was able to design a database that I can update on the desktop from an app I had written in VB and download it into the Palm. Thanks for everything and I'm looking forward to future releases,

Craig Mitchell

I have had my Palm IIIx for about 6 months now, and have tried alot of software. HanDBase is one of the products that I considered "must have". I am a programmer and do alot of work in Microsoft Access and was looking for something similar for the Palm. After trying the demo version for about two days, I was convinced. I am now a registered user, and am very happy with the product. I can create my own apps, to my own specs, and customize it when necessary

Dan Mosiondz

I am an anesthesiologist in St. Louis and currently working on a program for tracking postoperative visits. Thanks for the hard work on producing such a great little program. I have recommend this program to all my friends!!!

Rick Bowen, MD, PhD

HanDBase is one of the most powerful, yet easy to use relational database programs for the Palm Platform. It's main strengh is in the responsiveness of its developer David Haupert to its many users. He is wonderful in his ability to take everyone's suggestions and meld them into his powerfully elegant creation. I use this program daily in my work, and couldn't get along without it. Highly recommended!

Dwayne Wilson
Police Officer

There are two third-party products that I use regularly on my Palm IIIx. One is HanDBase and the other is Quicksheet. While this combination helps me to leave my laptop at home when traveling, HanDBase is by far the most useful. I simply can not believe the features/functionality you've put into this product. For the modest fee you charge to register HanDBase you should be given a medal for making it so feature-packed and usable. It's nice to know that in this age of bloated WinDOZE software, someone still remembers how to produce tight, efficient code. Thanks for providing such a useful product, and keep up the good work!

Steve Flowers

HanDBase is the BEST program I have ever seen for the Palm Pilot. The versatility and ease of use for creating my own custom databases is incredibly satisfying. In around 10 minutes I configured a database from scratch that keeps track of birthdays (and computes the present age!!!). This program is easily worth 5 times what I paid. Thank you!
