Views added don't show

I have a database that only has 10 "Views". On my iPhone I added the 11th "View" which worked fine. I Sync with the Desktop and on the Desktop only 10 Views show up, the last 11th view added on the iPhone is missing.

Many things tried, like deleting the view and recreating and syncing etc. Even created a new database with a different name using the old file as the template. Copied over the records to the new database. I see I have the 11 views I want.

Sync the database with the desktop and the 11th View does not exist there.

Does anyone have any clues. I have many databases with more views up to the limit of 20 I think is the limit. All those databases show all VIEWS I have created up to the limit. But, the database I'm working with right now on the iPhone with 11 VIEWS will only transfer 10 VIEWS to the Desktop.

My Computer = MacBook Pro (2012) with Catalina.
Deaktop HanDBase = 4.6.0.2

Not a complicated database. Only 15 fields. 8 Text, 4 Note, 1 Float, 1 Intiger, 1 Date.

A couple of questions:

• If you add/delete/change a record, does the change show up on the desktop after a sync?
• Create a new database, using this database as a template. Before adding any records, do a sync. Does the database and all views show up with no records?
• If you add a new view with no settings, does that view sync to the desktop?
• What are the settings of the new view?
• What iOS are you running?

I might have more questions later.

Your questions made me go through the exercises again that I did before. I even made a 2 new files. Funny thing it didn't show up in the "Browse" for a new file. Tried it again same result, but it shows up (not in order - hard to find) the listing of files before you hit "Browse".

That made me take more care of what I was doing and I discovered the "Browse" button was going to my last "Named" phone (Glen's iPhone 2) and not the new named directory "Glen's iPhone 6s".

Fixing the browse location for files solved my problem.

Thanks for the kick in the right direction even though you didn't guess the problem - it was too basic and easily overlooked.

No problem Glen, sometimes it takes a question or two to look at something closer, and look in different locations.

My questions were trying to get at 'was the database being backed up' and if the views were the only thing not transferring, or was there something else going on.

Glad that you found the issue. Sometimes it can be frustrating to see a problem, but not see what the solution might be. Been there - done that - and it will happen again down the road
