Afraid to update OS

I'm afraid to update my OSX and iOS operating systems because I can't live without HandBase not working or not syncing. Apple notice sent out today.

Urgent: Why you need to update all your iPhones, iPads, and Macs right now. (Today = July 28, 2021)

I've watched so many people have trouble with syncing and crashing with new OS on Apple products lately, what is the current situation?

Hi Glen,

I have all my devices updated to the latest macOS and iOS, and I do not have a problem with syncing between the devices. I know of the thread of some people with issues relating to the permission to use WiFi to connect with other devices and why their iPhone/iPad/iPod is not asking for permission.

There aren't that many users with issues in that thread, so it doesn't look like a widespread issue. The people that are affected are frustrated which is understandable.

I do understand you being hesitant to update your devices because you do not want to become one of the people that have the sync issue.

I don't have better answers than that right now, and I am sorry about that. I just have not found the right answer yet about what to do if an app on the iPhone does not allow access to the network and it is not listed in the permissions for WiFi.
