Frequent Crashes

Is there an update planned for the windows version? I am running the latest 4.7.5. I have a created a database to track my music collection. It has 29 fields and over 4,000 records, so not that large I feel. It will however frequently crashes. It crashes while creating or editing an entry and I dare not do more than three entries without saving. It sometimes crashes upon opening and I have also had sort issues recently with it crashing when I try to sort, either by a single field or using the sort icon.

My desktop frequently crashes. I am using Windows 8 and for 4 days it is not working properly. I had even checked Facebook and Google sites for addressing the problem but, didn't find any proper answer.
